I get a lot of questions on how to start sketching during sermon notes. A lot of people feel intimidated to draw during church having people look over their shoulders. They ask me what to do if they don’t know how to draw something or what to do if they make a mistake. First and foremost let’s address the WHY. Why would we want
I haven’t posted any sketchnotes in a bit, so I thought I’d share what I’ve been up too. I’ve not been happy with my sketchnote format. I have been Sketchnoting on a sheet of card stock but I find I want to have them in a bound book. I knew I didn’t want a binding that was glued because you can’t use the whole
I thought I would recap 2016 with my travels, books read and so on. I put them in sketchnote format. I would encourage you to do the same. Where did you travel? How many miles did you walk or run? What else do you want to document? I would encourage you to think about what you did in 2016. My process was to think about
I won’t write a long blog posts since there’s a lot to take in in this sketchnote. These are my notes from Margaret Feinberg’s talks at Daybreak last week at Harvester Christian. She was awesome and inspirational. If you ever get the chance to hear her speak – don’t miss it. I loved the part about looking for the Joy Bombs that God drops
Ok maybe I’m a little biased about this series, but it was a great series even if my husband gave the message. Its so simple to open your home and love others. You’ll never know who
Today I thought I’d share a book report – what do I read? I am an avid reader. Last year I read 88 books of all shapes and sizes. I love learning and reading is such a fun way to learn new stuff without even trying. I recently finished Austin Kleon’s Steal like an Artist – 10 things no one told you about being creative.
I got to attend the Lighthouse Messenger Gospel Singing in Harrison Arkansas, last week. It’s a three day event. We attended on Friday. The Jim Brady Trio, the McKameys and Lighthouse Messenger. It was a perfect evening for a Gospel singing in the park. I thought I’d share my sketchnote from the evening. I always have to have my pen going. I’m off to Fargo
I recently attended a Lunch and Learn session by one of my former students who started her own business. She does marketing and sales training at Cornerstone Solutions. She did a workshop on overcoming a sales slump. Here are my sketchnotes from her session. It was a fun lunch and we got to meet some nice folks. And I was on the team that won
