Sketchnote Summer Camp Challenges #3 and #4

In this edition of the Sketchnote Summer Camp we are going to do challenges #3, 4 and 5 from the June printable. Let’s have some fun!Quic

Quick Draw Challenge

Are you enjoying Sketchnote Summer Camp?  I am loving all the challenges. In this post we will look at challenges 3, 4, and 5.  Challenge 3 was to learn to draw quickly. We found three objects on our nature walk and we drew each one three times.  We drew the first one for 15 seconds  – this is only time enough to get the basic shape of the object.  We drew it again for 30 seconds and we got to include a little detail, but not much. And finally we drew it for 1-2 minutes adding more detail.  For one of the items I challenged you to find a verse to incorporate with your object.  As you can see I decided to put the earth as the center of the flower and use John 3:16 as the verse.  Post your pics in the Sketchnote Boss facebook group.

Challenge 4 was to doodle star and cloud icons and then find a song with some lyrics about stars. I used Chris Tomlin’s Indescribable.  I doodled up some stars. In the video, I demonstrate how to add the 3-D tail to the star.

Scavenger Hunt and Pinwheel

Challenge 5 was to doodle a 5″ x 5″ paper and then make a pinwheel. I demonstrate step-by-step instructions on how to make a pinwheel. Challenge 6 was a week long challenge to find a summer camp word and illustrate it and find a verse to go with it.
