Prov. 3:5-6 Doodle Challenge

These are illustrations that I did for  Lake Williamson Christian Center in Carlinville Il. I have over 96 pieces displayed around the camp. It is a totally cool place if you’re youth group is looking for a get away venue. These pieces are 5 feet tall and mounted on wood to give the surf boards a 3-d look. This verse was just too fun to illustrate!

In our last post  I challenged you to doodle Proverbs 3:5-6. It’s such a great verse that everyone should memorize. It has great visuals too. I design these challenges with limits. This make you have to think a little hard to doodle the assignment. This is the process that is stretching that visual muscle in your brain. Think of it as warming up before a race. Every we’ll try something new to get you thinking visually.

Here’s my doodle. Here’s my thinking behind my doodle: Trust in the Lord with all your heart. – I decided to make my heart bigger that the box to symbolize that heart was big and ready to trust Him with everything. Lean not on your own understanding Arrogance came to mind and rather than trying illustrate this difficult concept, I doodled the word Arrogance. In all your ways acknowledge Him.  I just had this vision of arms outstretched praising HimAnd he will make your paths straight.  And  lastly, I wanted to choose the bold clear straight path rather than getting lost on another curvy path.

If you want to doodle along, here’s the printable.

Share your doodle on our Face Book Group; Bible Journaling for non artists.

I’ve been busy working on the March Bullet Journal spread. I’ll post it as soon as I have it completed.
