The Devo:
KNOWABLE is the first installment of our journey this year to better understand the character of God and to know Him better. He allows Himself to be known because He wants to have a relationship with us. He is so amazing and awesome and I am overwhelmed by His love every day. I cherish every opportunity to know Him better.
The verse to focus on this week is Jeremiah 9:23-24:
This is what the Lord says:
“Let not the wise boast of their wisdom
or the strong boast of their strength
or the rich boast of their riches,
but let the one who boasts boast about this:
that they have the understanding to know me,
that I am the Lord, who exercises kindness,
justice and righteousness on earth,
for in these I delight,”
declares the Lord.

(You’ll notice on my devo I forgot the line “that they have the understanding to know me”. I fixed this on the printable. ) Get the printable here: Knowable OL
Instructions:
Commit this verse to memory. What a great verse! If you could know Him better, then purpose to carve out more devotional time to learn more about his Character. Write a short reflection on the opposite page in your journal about how much you feel you know Him and how you feel about the opportunity to get to know Him better this year.
Doodle Technique Suggestions:
- Choose three colors to color in the letters of Knowable. Choose darker shades of those colors to add shadows look at the A and L for the darker yellow on the edges. This adds more interest to your work.
- Draw a pattern around the circle of verse. I did curlies.
- As you doodle the ribbon weave in the background be mindful of the contrast between light patterns and dark patterns and look for a balance. You’ll notice that the first, third and sixth vertical ribbons are darker providing balance to the other patterns in this devo
