Saturday in 27 degree weather 20 students from SIUE and some awesome folks from different churches in the area all got together and we feed the homeless. I am always amazed at these events when I think that we won’t have enough food. The pots of food just keep coming and there was more than enough. It was crazy cold, but we still fed about 150 people and had extra that we took to a nearby homeless shelter. The college students jumped right in and began to serve the food and sort the clothes that area churches donated. We passed out socks, hats, blankets, coats and toiletries. It was a very cold day, but what a blessed time to help others and see God’s hand at work.
